Besides the cheap and cheerful Golden Village cinemas, these places are worth checking out for a movie you particualrly want to see:
VivoCity (L2 & 3)
1 Harbour Front Walk
T: (+65) 6311 9162
The equivalent of business class seating (using the SQA380 as our benchmark) but for the cinema. Food and drink can be ordered thoughout the movie (via your own call button) and delivered to your seat, complete with its own little table. But, be warned, avoid everything on the menu except the burger which is good but nothing special. Great for a movie you are dying to see, but make sure you check the movie times regularly, as blink and you’ll miss it (things are often only screened for a week). Once the novelty’s worn off, you’ll realise that when the regular cinema only costs around $10 for 2, $60 for 2 at Gold Class doesn’t seem quite so clever. BTW: Advance booking is essential. There is also a smaller (so less viewing choice) but infinitely more convenient Gold Class at Great World City.
Opening Times: Vary according to screenings – see website for details
